Dias (Zeus) Island
Zeus Villas are named after a little islet in the area. Dias (Zeus) is a rocky little island named after the ancient altar of Zeus.
Today there is a small chapel built on the ruins of the altar. The Island of Dias less than one mile from the coast can be reached by boat from Pessada or Agia Pelagia ports.
Avythos Beach
Avithos is a quite beautiful beach with crystalline waters located 12km southwest of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia and very close to the village of Svoronata. The beach consists of reddish sand and an impressive mountain backdrop.
Surrounded by verdant vegetation and nice facilities, Avithos makes the ideal environment for children offering many games in the sand and in the shallow waters. A couple of nice taverns are found in close distance from the beach offering delicious meals from the local cuisine.
The beach of Avithos offers great views to the tiny islet of Dias and the small church that stands on top. It is a really nice beach and definitely among the best in the south coast of Kefalonia.
Ammes Beach
Ammes is a nice sandy beach located 10 km southwest of Argostoli, the capital of kefalonia and quite close to the village of Svoronata. The beach offers some tourist facilities like sunbeds and umbrellas and in close distance plenty of cafes and nice taverns.
Makris Gialos Beach
Makris Gialos is a nice tourist resort that lies around a beautiful and crystalline bay. It is located 3 km south of Argostoli,the capital of Kefalonia. It is one of the most frequented beaches of Kefalonia, popular for its shiny golden sand, the azure and clean waters. Similar to most of the island’s beaches, Makris Gialos boasts a stunning landscape with dense vegetation and tall pine trees. Some rock formations are scattered creating an exotic atmosphere.
Cavo Liakas
There is a cave of unique beauty in Cavo Liakas in Spartia. The cave, which looks like it was carved by a great craftsman, has been created in a natural way and catches the eye.
Myrtos Beach
The beach has a semi-circular shape surrounded by impressive white rocky cliffs with lush vegetation on top of them creating a spectacular setting. The lush green area, the abrupt terrain, the white pebbles and the crystal waters compose a stunning scenery.
The western coast of Myrtos offers spectacular sunset views. While descending the beach, you will enjoy some amazing views from above.
